Beloved, we find ourselves in troubling times, where not only must we arm ourselves with truth and knowledge, but we must also stand vigilant against those who would seek to undermine our very democracy. As we've witnessed the recent attacks on ballot boxes in the Pacific Northwest, we're reminded of the words in Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

These acts of arson, targeting our sacred right to vote, are a stark reminder of why Hosea 4:6 rings true today: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Introduction:

Brothers and sisters, I stand before you today to tell you that God is not like people! People will judge you, they’ll label you, they’ll count you out, and some will turn their backs on you the moment you stumble. But God, the Creator of heaven and earth, is not like man! Every morning you wake up, every breath you take, is evidence that God is giving you another chance. And He does not owe us that chance—He gives it out of His love, His mercy, His grace! While people write you off, God writes you into His purpose!

Now, some of you are in confusion right now. You’re wrestling, you’re trying to make sense of things, you’re unsure where to turn. Maybe you don’t trust what’s around you. You look to the left and you see chaos, you look to the right and see division, and you don’t know which way to go. But I came to tell you that in the midst of your confusion, God is still there!

Point 1: The God Who Stands When Others Fall

People may abandon you when you’re down. They may count you out because of mistakes, shortcomings, or your past. But let me tell you something—God has not left you! When others step back, God steps closer. The Bible says that “He will never leave you nor forsake you.” He is not intimidated by your failures, not deterred by your doubts, and not disgusted by your confusion. God is the only one who stands by you when others fall away.

Some of you have been waiting for people’s approval, waiting for someone else to give you a chance, and I’m here to tell you that every morning, God has given you that chance. Every morning, He’s placed His stamp of mercy on your life. Every morning! The Lord’s mercies are new, and that means every day, you get a clean slate.

Point 2: God Is Faithful, Even in Confusion

Now, I know some of you are confused, and you don’t know who to trust in this season. You’re looking at the choices before you, and maybe you’re saying, “Pastor, I don’t trust any of these options!” Let me tell you something: you may not trust people, but you can always trust God! There’s a verse in the Bible that says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” When confusion surrounds you, that is when you must lean on God with all your heart. He will never lead you astray.

Yes, even in this world where we’re often forced to choose the lesser of two evils, we can still lean on God. When you don’t know which way to go, go to God! When you don’t know who to vote for, seek the Lord’s wisdom. You may not find perfection in a candidate or a political party, but remember that our trust is not in earthly powers; it’s in the power of a righteous God!

Point 3: The Opportunity to Change

I’m talking to someone today who needs to know that God’s mercy is not just a nice thought; it’s an opportunity for transformation. Every morning that you open your eyes, it’s as if God is saying, “Here’s another chance for you to get it right.” Another chance to forgive that person you’re holding a grudge against. Another chance to speak life where you once spoke bitterness. Another chance to choose God’s way over the world’s way.

Let me tell you something—God doesn’t extend His mercy just for us to stay the same! He doesn’t give you a new day so you can keep running the same path of confusion and chaos. His mercy is an invitation to change, to grow, to walk in His ways. And I came to tell you, the more you lean on God, the clearer your path becomes. He may not change all your circumstances, but He will change you.

So, I say to you today, let go of waiting for other people’s approval. Let go of waiting for someone else to change your situation. Introduction: Saints, today I want to speak to you about a topic we often shy away from—conflict. We don’t like to talk about it, we don’t like to experience it, and, in many families, we do everything in our power to avoid it. But let me tell you something—avoiding conflict doesn’t make it disappear. It only pushes it down, plants it in the heart, where it grows into something toxic. Show me a family that avoids conflict, and I’ll show you adult children who struggle to set boundaries, who avoid the hard conversations, who carry brokenness that was never healed. God wants more for His children. He wants us to live free, whole, and healed, not in families that brush issues under the rug but in families that know how to confront, forgive, and rebuild.

Point 1: The Power of Healthy Conflict Conflict, saints, is not the enemy! In fact, it is an opportunity! The Word of God says, "Iron sharpens iron." How does iron sharpen iron? Not by lying still, not by staying quiet, not by avoiding friction—but by coming together, facing each other, and rubbing against each other until they sharpen one another. That’s what healthy conflict does! It refines us, matures us, and brings us closer. When we teach our children that conflict is not to be avoided but to be handled with wisdom, we prepare them for a world that will surely test them. Because let me tell you, life will bring storms, misunderstandings, and tension. And we cannot send them out unprepared.

If we shield them from conflict, they’ll grow up to believe that harmony means silence, that love means not addressing issues. But love, real love, knows how to face the hard things. Jesus, our Savior, the Prince of Peace, had hard conversations. He wasn’t afraid to confront, to speak truth, and to draw boundaries. And we must do the same if we want to raise a generation that knows how to heal, not just hurt.

Point 2: The Importance of Rupture and Repair Now, saints, let me tell you about something powerful—rupture and repair. In every relationship, there will be moments of rupture. That’s natural! But it’s not the rupture that defines us; it’s the repair. When we model repair, we’re teaching our children that mistakes can be mended, that apologies can heal, and that love covers a multitude of sins. If we teach them only to avoid rupture, they grow up with no roadmap for repair.

Some of us were raised in homes where the fight happened and then—silence. Days, weeks, even months would go by with no repair. And some of you know what that silence did to your soul. But I came to tell you today that God wants more for you and your family! When we model repair, we show our children that love is resilient, that relationships can withstand storms. We’re teaching them that they don’t have to walk away from every person that hurts them, that they can work things out, and that forgiveness is stronger than offense. God is calling us to show the next generation the beauty of reconciliation.

Point 3: Boundaries Are a Gift from God And let me say something about boundaries. Boundaries are not rejection; they are protection! When we raise children to believe that setting boundaries means being unkind, we raise them to live lives of resentment and frustration. But boundaries are God-given. Jesus set boundaries, and we are called to do the same. He knew when to step away, when to pull back, and when to be alone. And He also knew when to speak truth, even when it wasn’t easy to hear.

A family that avoids conflict is a family that raises children without boundaries, children who say “yes” when they should say “no,” children who carry burdens that aren’t theirs to carry, children who think love means self-sacrifice to the point of losing themselves. But God calls us to love others as we love ourselves. That means we must first know ourselves, protect our peace, and set boundaries that honor who God created us to be. We must teach our children that it’s okay to say “no,” that it’s okay to guard their hearts, and that they can love deeply without losing themselves.

Conclusion: Embracing a Legacy of Wholeness Saints, I came to tell you that it’s time to break the cycle. It’s time to raise a generation that doesn’t run from conflict but knows how to face it, that doesn’t avoid the hard conversations but speaks truth in love. God has called us to be peacemakers, not peacekeepers! A peacekeeper avoids, stays silent, and allows the issues to fester. Introduction: Saints, we are standing at a pivotal moment in history, a moment where each of us has been given a gift—a single vote, a voice, a choice for the future. I come before you today not to declare allegiance to any party, not to proclaim the virtues of men and women who have their flaws, but to speak of responsibility, of discernment, and of choosing a path forward. Because even when I don’t trust any party fully, I still must lean on the side of the lesser of two evils and seek out the way forward.

The Word tells us that "when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.” There is a call upon us to consider not only what is comfortable or convenient but what is righteous. And if dozens of voices, those who were once close to the seat of power, are telling us, "For God's sake, don't go this way again," we must pay attention. There’s a message in that warning, and I am compelled to speak on it today.

Point 1: Listening to the Warnings Sometimes God uses the most unlikely sources to speak a word of warning. Even when the ones speaking were once aligned with the very force they now caution us against, their warning is something we cannot ignore. These voices—men and women who served alongside power—are not shouting from the sidelines, but crying out from firsthand experience. They are telling us, “For God’s sake, don't repeat this.” Now, saints, when that kind of alarm is sounded, we have a responsibility to listen. Even one voice, in the right moment, can change the course of history.

But here we have not one, but dozens—warning, imploring, urging us to heed the call. Just as the prophets in the Bible warned the people of Israel to turn from their ways, so these voices cry out, “Choose wisely. Do not go backward.” I’ve got one vote, saints, just one voice, and I’m going to use it with the wisdom God has granted me.

Point 2: The Lesser of Two Evils Saints, let me be clear—I don’t trust any party completely. We all know that human institutions are flawed, that politics is imperfect. But we are called to choose, even when our choices are limited. And sometimes, we must lean on the side of the lesser of two evils, not because it’s perfect, but because it’s a step closer to what’s right.

It may not be the complete vision of righteousness, but it’s closer to a path that reflects integrity, justice, and compassion. Sometimes, making that choice means discerning which path will do the least harm, will uplift rather than suppress, will bring a future rather than take us back. When I cast my vote, I am casting it forward. I am choosing Kamala Harris, because my spirit tells me that forward is where we need to go. It’s not about perfection; it’s about progress.

It’s time to press forward, to move beyond rhetoric and division, and to choose a future that brings us closer to justice, unity, and truth.

Each of us, though imperfect, has a role in building this future. Your one vote is part of that future. Your voice, your vision—it matters! This election, I am going to vote for Kamala Harris, not because I trust any party to fulfill every promise, but because I trust God to make a way through the choices we make. I trust that by moving forward, we are leaning on the side of righteousness, even if it’s one step at a time.

Conclusion: Beloved, we have an opportunity, a responsibility, and a choice. Let us be wise, let us be vigilant, let us be discerning. We know the stakes. We’ve heard the warnings. And with one voice, we can declare that we choose the future over the past, that we choose wisdom over familiarity, that we choose to lean on the side of progress—even if it means choosing the lesser of two evils.

Let us pray, saints, that God will guide our hearts, guide our hands, and make us instruments of His peace, His wisdom, and His will. Amen and Amen.

You Are Cleared for Takeoff!

Scripture Text: Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)

"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Introduction: Saints, I want to tell you this morning that you are cleared for takeoff! God has given you the go-ahead, the green light, the stamp of approval. You’ve been praying, seeking, waiting, wondering if it’s time. And God says, "Yes, it's time!" For many of you, you have been standing at the runway of your destiny, waiting, hoping, hesitant to move forward because you felt that you didn’t have the clearance. But I’m here to tell you today, as a messenger of the Most High, that the delay is over! The blockages are removed! The path has been made clear! Somebody say, “I’m moving forward!”

Point 1: Spiritual Blockages – Removed! Somebody has been struggling with feeling unworthy, battling guilt, shame, or fear of stepping out. The enemy has tried to keep you bound by your past, telling you that you can’t go forward. But hear me, saints: when you prayed, God released you immediately! Hallelujah! The Word says, "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed." You don’t need to stay stuck where you’ve been. Your spirit is set free! That spiritual bondage, that weight, that doubt—it’s gone! The doors to your freedom have swung open wide. God said, “Go forth!”

Point 2: Mental Blockages – Removed! Oh, sometimes it’s the mind, saints! The battlefield of the mind is where many of us get stuck. We wonder, “What if I’m not good enough?” “What if I fail?” But I need somebody to hear me today: God is removing that mental barrier! “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” That self-doubt, that spirit of fear—it’s gone! You’ve been cleared to go after what God has put on your heart. I need somebody to say, “My mind is clear! My mind is focused!”

Point 3: Physical Blockages – Removed! Saints, let’s talk about our health. There have been physical challenges, obstacles that kept some of us from moving. But I hear the Word of the Lord saying, “By His stripes, we are healed.” Somebody has been praying for the strength to walk again, to stand again, to run again. And God is saying, “The blockage is gone!” If you’ve been holding back because of your physical state, know that God is your strength, and He has cleared the way for you to pursue what He’s called you to. Declare it with me: “I am healed, I am whole, I am strong!”

Point 4: Financial Blockages – Removed! Hallelujah! Saints, sometimes, we hesitate because we say, “Lord, I just don’t have the resources.” But I need you to know that God is your Provider! “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof!” He has treasures stored up for His children. Financial lack is not your portion! God is clearing the path for you to prosper, to be blessed, to be a lender and not a borrower. Believe it, saints: Your finances are on the rise! Somebody shout, “My financial breakthrough is here!”

Conclusion: This is your confirmation, saints. This is your memo from Heaven! God is saying, “You have been approved. I have removed every blockage that held you back.” Whatever you’ve been praying for, whatever you’ve been longing for—it’s time to go after it! Don’t look back, don’t hesitate, don’t delay. Press forward, press into the fullness of what God has prepared for you!

Altar Call: Today, saints, I’m calling you forward to release every fear, every hesitation, every doubt, and step into the fullness of what God has for you. Come to the altar and receive the strength, the anointing, the blessing, the clearance to move forward!

Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank You! Thank You for removing every barrier, every blockage, every weight that was holding us back. We step forward today, Lord, in faith, in boldness, in clarity, because we know You have made the way. In Jesus’ name, we are cleared for takeoff! Amen and Amen!
