777

And the Lord said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place. Judges 7:7

It’s amazing that on this rare “7-7-7” day (07 July 2007) in history God’s message in the 7th book of the Bible, the 7th chapter and 7th verse we see that by those 300 men (not the movie) who lapped like a dog and did not lay their weapons down to drink, God would use mightily. Their first thought was being ready to fight the good fight. Their own personal needs were not that important to them. A good soldier of the cross never lays his weapon {Bible} down. The Bible is God’s word to us, “living and active” (Hebrews 4:12), but we cannot know what God wants us to do if we do not read it. And even reading God’s Word is not enough; we must be willing to do what it says. There is not much difference between the book hidden in the temple and the Bible hidden on the bookshelf. An unread Bible is as useless as a lost one. So, pick up your Weapon soldier!

Yours because of Calvary,
In service of the King,
