DO ONE THING THIS DAY
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this ONE THING I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Everyday we start our day with so many things to do. Sometimes our “things to do list” seems so long, and there just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day to do all that needs to be done. I hear the Lord saying “DO ONE THING THIS DAY”
God is only asking us to do ONE THING this day….LOVE HIM, with all of our heart, all of our soul, and all of our mind. ONE THING. And if you love Him you won’t have a problem with the ONE THING list below. Didn’t He say we could cast our cares upon Him for He careth for us, and that His yoke is easy and the burden light?
Mat 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Well trade your list for His list today. Take a pick, choose ONE THING from the list and see how much better your day will be. I dare you to take a chance and do ONE THING FOR JESUS THIS DAY!
ONE THING LIST
Joshua 23:14 And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not ONE THING hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not ONE THING hath failed thereof. ---
Trust Him, Step out in Faith today and know that He won’t fail you
Psalm 27:4 ONE THING have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. --
See His Kingdom this day and watch Him give you peace in your temple

Luke 10:41-42 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But ONE THING is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.--
Break open your alabaster box and give Jesus your most precious gift …. YOU
Luke 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou ONE THING: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. --
Share with those who are less fortunate, and watch treasures from Heaven fall upon you
John 9:24-25 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner. He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: ONE THING I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see. --
Ask the Lord to remove the blinders from your eyes so you can see every way the enemy is tempting, hindering, lying and distorting the truth in your life.
2Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this ONE THING, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.---
This is your day; cherish it as though it were your last.
And now for my ONE THING:
Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this ONE THING I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. ----
Yesterday is gone, you can’t change it, forget it and all your past mistakes. I have. Now remember the vision I gave you and reach for it, keep it in front of you, and as you seek My face, press your way until it comes to pass.
Did you notice this ONE THING list, all fall under one category? Yes, LOVING THE LORD!
BE BLESSED,

Ten Guidelines From God
Effective immediately, please be aware that there are changes YOU need to make in YOUR life. These changes need to be completed in order that I may fulfill My promises to you to grant you peace, joy and happiness in this life. I apologize for any inconvenience, but after all that I am doing, this seems very little to ask of you. Please, follow these 10 guidelines
1. QUIT WORRYING: Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit and worry. Have you forgotten that I am here to take all your burdens and carry them for you? Or do you just enjoy fretting over every little thing that comes your way?
2. PUT IT ON MY LIST: Something needs done or taken care of. Put it on the list. No, not YOUR list. Put it on MY to-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care of the problem. I can't help you until you turn it over to Me. And although My to-do-list is long, I am after all...God. I can take care of anything you put into My hands. In fact, if the truth were ever really known, I take care of a lot of things for you that you never even realize.
3. TRUST ME: Once you've given your burdens to Me, quit trying to take them back. Trust in Me. Have the faith that I will take care of all your needs, your problems and your trials. Problems with the kids? Put them on My list. Problem with finances? Put it on My list. Problems with your emotional roller coaster? For My sake, put it on My list. I want to help you. All you have to do is ask.
4. LEAVE IT ALONE: Don't wake up one morning and say, "Well, I'm feeling much stronger now, I think I can handle it from here." Why do you think you are feeling stronger now? It's simple. You gave Me your burdens and I'm taking care of them. I also renew your strength and cover you in my peace. Don't you know that if I give you these problems back, you will be right back where you started? Leave them with Me and forget about them. Just let Me do my job.
5. TALK TO ME: I want you to forget a lot of things. Forget what was making you crazy. Forget the worry and the fretting because you know I'm in control. But there's one thing I pray you never forget. Please, don't forget to talk to Me - OFTEN! I love YOU! I want to hear your voice. I want you to include Me in on the things going on in your life. I want to hear you talk about your friends and family. Prayer is simply you having a conversation with Me. I want to be your dearest friend.
6. HAVE FAITH: I see a lot of things from up here that you can't see from where you are. Have faith in Me that I know what I'm doing. Trust Me; you wouldn't want the view from My eyes. I will continue to care for you, watch over you, and meet your needs. You only have to trust Me. Although I have a much bigger task than you, it seems as if you have so much trouble just doing your simple part. How hard can trust be?
7. SHARE: You were taught to share when you were only two years old. When did you forget? That rule still applies. Share with those who are less fortunate than you. Share your joy with those who need encouragement. Share your laughter with those who haven't heard any in such a long time. Share your tears with those who have forgotten how to cry. Share your faith with those who have none.
8. BE PATIENT: I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime you could have so many diverse experiences. You grow from a child to an adult, have children, change jobs many times, learn many trades, travel to so many places, meet thousands of people, and experience so much. How can you be so impatient then when it takes Me a little longer than you expect to handle something on My to-do-list? Trust in My timing, for My timing is perfect. Just because I created the entire universe in only six days, everyone thinks I should always rush, rush, rush.
9. BE KIND: Be kind to others, for I love them just as much as I love you. They may not dress like you, or talk like you, or live the same way you do, but I still love you all. Please try to get along, for My sake. I created each of you different in some way. It would be too boring if you were all identical. Please, know I love each of your differences.
10. LOVE YOURSELF: As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself? You were created by me for one reason only -- to be loved, and to love in return. I am a God of Love. Love Me. Love your neighbors. But also love yourself. It makes My heart ache when I see you so angry with yourself when things go wrong. You are very precious to me. Don't ever forget......

FORGIVEN
One day awhile back, a man, his heart heavy with grief, was walking in the woods. As he thought about his life this day, he knew many things were not right. He thought about those who had lied about him back when he had a job.
His thoughts turned to those who had stolen his things and cheated him.
He remembered family that had passed on. His mind turned to the illness he had that no one could cure. His very soul was filled with anger, resentment and frustration.
Standing there this day, searching for answers he could not find, knowing all else had failed him, he knelt at the base of an old oak tree to seek the one he knew would always be there. And with tears in his eyes, he prayed:
"Lord- You have done wonderful things for me in this life. You have told me to do many things for you, and I happily obeyed. Today , you have told me to forgive. I am sad, Lord, because I cannot. I don't know how. It is not fair Lord. I didn't deserve these wrongs that were done against me and I shouldn't have to forgive. As perfect as your way is Lord, this one thing I cannot do, for I don't know how to forgive. My anger is so deep Lord, I fear I may not hear you, but I pray that you teach me to do this one thing I cannot do - Teach me To Forgive."
As he knelt there in the quiet shade of that old oak tree, he felt something fall onto his shoulder. He opened his eyes. Out of the corner of one eye, he saw something red on his shirt.
He could not turn to see what it was because where the oak tree had been was a large square piece of wood in the ground. He raised his head and saw two feet held to the wood with a large spike through them.
He raised his head more, and tears came to his eyes as he saw Jesus hanging on a cross. He saw spikes in His hands, a gash in His side, a torn and battered body, deep thorns sunk into His head. Finally he saw the suffering and pain on His precious face. As their eyes met, the man's tears turned to sobbing, and Jesus began to speak.
"Have you ever told a lie?" He asked?
The man answered - "yes, Lord."
"Have you ever been given too much change and kept it?"
The man answered - " yes. Lord." And the man sobbed more and more.
"Have you ever taken something from work that wasn't yours?" Jesus asked?
And the man answered - "yes, Lord."
"Have you ever sworn, using my Father's name in vain? "
The man, crying now, answered - "yes, Lord."
As Jesus asked many more times, "Have you ever"? The man's crying became uncontrollable, for he could only answer - "yes, Lord."
Then Jesus turned His head from one side to the other, and the man felt something fall on his other shoulder. He looked and saw that it was the blood of Jesus. When he looked back up, his eyes met those of Jesus, an d there was a look of love the man had never seen or known before.
Jesus said, "I didn't deserve this either, but I forgive you."
It may be hard to see how you're going to get through something, but when you look back in life, you realize how true this statement is.
Read the following first line slowly and let it sink in.
If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

Cans of Success
Why should I say I can't when the Bible says 1 can do all things through Christ who gives me strength (Phil. 4:13)?
Why should I lack when I know that God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19)?
Why should I fear when the Bible says God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7)?
Why should I lack faith to fulfill my calling knowing that God has allotted to me a measure of faith (Rom. 12:3)?
Why should I be weak when the Bible says that the Lord is the strength of my life and that I will display strength and take action because I know God (Psa. 27:1; Dan. 11:32)?
Why should I allow Satan supremacy over my life when He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4)?
Why should I accept defeat when the Bible says that God always leads me in triumph (2 Cor. 2:14)?
Why should I lack wisdom when Christ became wisdom to me from God and God gives wisdom to me generously when I ask Him for it (1 Cor. 1:30; Jas. 1:5)?
Why should I be depressed when I can recall to mind God's loving kindness, compassion and faithfulness and have hope (Lam. 3:21-23)?
Why should I worry and fret when I can cast all my anxiety on Christ who cares for me (1 Pet. 5: 7)?
Why should I ever be in bondage knowing that there is liberty where the Spirit of the Lord is (Gal. 5:1)?
Why should I feel condemned when the Bible says I am not condemned because I am in Christ (Rom. 8:1)?
Why should I feel alone when Jesus said He is with me always and He will never leave me nor forsake me (Matt. 28:20; Heb. 13:5)?
Why should I feel accursed or that I am the victim of bad luck when the Bible says that Christ redeemed me from the curse of the law that I might receive His Spirit (Gal. 3:13,14)?
Why should I be discontented when I, like Paul, can learn to be content in all my circumstances (Phil. 4:11)?
Why should I feel worthless when Christ became sin on my behalf that I might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Cor. 5:21)?
Why should I lack when I know that God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:19)?

SOMETHING TO PONDER
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep ... you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace ... you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness ... you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation... you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.
If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death ... you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.
If your parents are still alive and still married ... you are very rare, even in the United States.
If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful... you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.
If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder ....... you are blessed because you can offer healing touch.
If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you, you are wealthy enough to have an internet connection and power on, and furthermore, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.
Have a good day, count your blessings
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace ... you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness ... you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation... you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.
If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death ... you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

IF I COULD
I looked at you today and never felt so proud before.
I listened to you dream out loud and wanted to make your dreams come true so you didn't have to wait. For there is nothing I wouldn't do for you, ...if I could.
If I could, I would make sure you never lost at anything.
But what would you learn from winning all the time? Losing keeps you humble.
If I could, I would catch you when you fell.
But then you'd never know the power of rising up again.
If I could, I would take you directly to your life's destination.
But then, you'd never know the thrill of getting lost along the way.
If I could, I would find the love you long for, the love of your life.
But then you'd never know that the joy of true love is in the journey it takes to find it.
If I could, I'd make your days all sunny.
But then you'd never know the cleansing of the rain.
If I could, I'd surround you with the treasures of the world you live in.
But then you'd never appreciate the value of the treasures of the world within you.
If I could, I'd put happiness within your reach.
But then you'd never learn that real growth only comes from reaching for things beyond your grasp.
If I could, and I will...
I'll love you throughout life and through eternity.
Thank you brother Bob Perks for such beautiful words.

ALWAYS TO PRAY
My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, it is my hearts desire to enlighten anyone of the importance of prayer. Just as conversation is a part of any vital and budding relationship, ours is with the Father.
Every now and then we measure the quality of a marriage relationship by how well the couple communicates. Or to state it another way, one of the primary things people summit as evidence that a marriage is in trouble is a lack of communication.
The same is true for our relationship with the Lord. True, honest, heartfelt conversation is the mark of a strong relationship. A lack of conversation or conversation only in public is a sign of a relationship in trouble. As a child of God, it should be planted in our hearts that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.
"Prayer is our lifeline in uncertain times, in the best of times, and in the worst of times."
God bless you all

Where is the love?
Brothers and Sisters of Christ, in the book of Matthew, chapter six and verse twenty four, Jesus declared to his disciples “No one can serve two masters”. However, we Christians have spent the greater portion of the past two millenniums apparently trying to prove Jesus wrong. We have told ourselves that we can indeed have both the things of God and the things of this world. Many of us live our lives no differently than do conservative non-Christians, except for the fact that we attend church regularly each week.
We watch the same entertainment.
We share the same concerns about the problems of this world.
And we are frequently just as involved in the world’s commercial and materialistic pursuits.
Though Jesus tells us “These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.Often, our being not of this world exists in theory more than in practice”. Often, our being not of this world exists in theory more than in practice.
But the church was not originally like that. The first Christians lived under an entirely different set of principles and values than the rest of mankind. They rejected the world’s entertainment, honors, and riches. They were already citizens of another kingdom, and they listened to the voice of a different Master. This was as true of the second century church as it was of the first.
The notion of God’s love coming to us free of charge, no strings attached, seems to go against every instinct of humanity.
The Buddhist eight-fold path,
The Hindu doctrine of Karma,
The Jewish covenant,
And the Muslim code of law…each of these offers a way to earn approval.
Only Christianity dares to make God’s love unconditional.
In other words…a love without a condition.

BECAUSE THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
Because The LORD is my Shepherd,
I shall not lack any provision of needs in my life.
Because He makes me lie down in green pastures,
I shall not lack nourishment.
Because He leads me beside quiet waters,
I shall not lack rest.
Because He restores my soul,
I shall not lack forgiveness and restoration.
Because He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake,
I shall not lack a right relationship with God.
Because I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, and
I shall not lack encouragement and hope.
Because Thou art with me,
I shall not lack for a constant companion.
Because Thy rod and Thy staff comfort me,
I shall not lack guidance and protection.
Because Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies,
I shall not lack honor and respect.
Because Thou hast anointed my head with oil,
I shall not lack power and authority,
Because My cup overflows,
I shall not lack joy, and abundant life.
Because goodness and loving-kindness will follow me all the days of my life,
I shall not lack contentment.
Because I dwell in the house of the LORD forever,
I shall not lack assurance of eternal security.
I shall not lack any provision of needs in my life.
Because He makes me lie down in green pastures,

WISDOM
Wisdom is the ability to understand how to apply the knowledge and truths of the Word of God.
My respect and reverence for God is the beginning of obtaining the knowledge of God. This knowledge of God brings an understanding of God to me. By understanding the knowledge of God, I have the beginning of the understanding of the wisdom of God. Wisdom instructs me to respect and reverence God. (circular thought)
After my beginning above, my respect and reverence for God leads to life, abiding or steadfast satisfaction, and protection from evil. Also, because of my respect and reverence for God - riches, honor and life are mine.
Knowing the Wisdom of God shall multiply the days and years of my life. I am a happy man because I have found and understand the wisdom of God!
The Wisdom of God far exceeds the accumulation of silver, rubies or fine gold.
Wisdom is more precious than pearls.
WHY?
Wisdom brings the longevity, the riches and the honor. Further, there is nothing I can dream of or desire that can be compared to the value of the Wisdom of God.
Lastly, I will hear and heed reproof by the Word of God which renders life. This will help me to receive the understanding of God. Consequently, reproof will cause me to remain wise.
In Summary:
Fear (respect) and reverence for God in humility
leads to knowledge in me
which
leads to understanding in me
which
leads to wisdom in me
which
brings me life, riches and honor!
Scriptures: Proverbs 1:7; 2:3-5; 3:13-16; 8:11; 9:10-11; 14:24; 15:31-33; 19:23; 22:4

THE LORD'S PRAYER (Prayerfully Expounded)
Brothers and Sisters in Christ, prayer is an indispensable part of the Christian life and can be a foundation of great strength and comfort, but it can also be daunting to the newcomer and at times frustrating to the mature Christian.
Jesus Himself taught His disciples to pray using this example prayer. (Matthew 6:9-13) (Actual prayer from the Bible is in bold) the rest below it is an illustration prayer in order to give further details about on that beautiful example prayer. I pray you enjoy.
OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN HALLOWED BE THY NAME
Almighty God, it is only through what Jesus has done that we are able to call you Father. Because of Jesus we are admitted to your intimate family circle, and unlike our earthly fathers, you are perfect, willing to be with us and listen to us at all times. We do not, however, forget who you are Lord; we acknowledge you as almighty, all knowing, all seeing, all powerful God of the universe.
THY KINGDOM COME THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN
We commit ourselves to following Jesus. We receive the forgiveness made available through Jesus and are therefore citizens of your kingdom, now, and in the time to come. We choose to do your will, to obey your commands and live as Christ did. In so doing we open the door through which light streams into our dark world.
GIVE US TODAY OUR DAILY BREAD
We promise not to worry about tomorrow, instead we will let tomorrow worry about itself, because we trust you to provide us with all our needs and we acknowledge that everything comes from you.
AND FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US
We acknowledge that through Jesus, a way out of sin has been provided. Jesus paid the price for our sin and thus enables us to receive your forgiveness. We are, however, mindful that we receive only the measure of forgiveness that we forgive other people. Please Lord help us to let go of any grudges we hold against those who have wronged us, so that we can truly begin to make forgiveness a permanent attitude, not just an occasional whim!
LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL
Lord we seek your protection from temptation and evil. We pray that we can learn from you without having to go through temptation, although we accept that at times you allow us to be tempted in order that we might learn.
THINE IS THE KINGDOM THE POWER AND THE GLORY
Almighty God, it is your kingdom and as children of your kingdom we thank you for bringing us out of darkness into the light. We thank you that yours is not just a kingdom of words, but of power and action. The power of the Holy Spirit poured out on us to reach the world.
FOREVER AND EVER
Finally, Almighty God, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, we give you all the honour and glory. We take none of it for ourselves, because it was you Lord Jesus, who suffered death for our salvation. We give you glory forever.
AMEN
So be it.

A COLLECTION OF ATTITUDES
To the expert in the law, the wounded man was a subject to discuss.
To the robbers, the wounded man was someone to use and exploit.
To the religious men, the wounded man was a problem to be avoided.
To the innkeeper, the wounded man was a customer to serve for a fee.
To the Samaritan, the wounded man was a human being worth being cared for and loved.
To Jesus, all of them and all of us were worth dying for.
Confronting the needs of others brings out various attitudes in us. Jesus used the story of the good but despised Samaritan to make clear what attitude was acceptable to him. If we are honest, we often will find ourselves in the place of the expert in the law, needing to learn again who our neighbor is. Note these different attitudes toward the wounded man.

Children Learn What They Live
If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.
If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive.
If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.
If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.
If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.
If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.
If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.
If children live with tolerance, they learn patience.
If children live with praise, they learn appreciation.
If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.
If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.
If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.
If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.
If children live with fairness, they learn justice.
If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.
If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.
If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.
This beautiful poem in which I hold near and dear to my heart is an excerpted from the book CHILDREN LEARN WHAT THEY LIVE was beautiful written by Dorothy Law Nolte and Rachel Harris.

PS. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6
Brothers and Sisters is Christ, we as Christians should not go around drenched by our hands in worry. Worry is lack of confidence or for a better word, lack of faith. We should trust the Lord in every facet of our lives. Now the word “Supplication”, in the verse above, means petition. Prayer should not be just a time to demand or request things of God that we want but rather should go to God in prayer, thanking Him for all He has already done for us. We ought to praise Him for who He is, and then make our request known. God is a loving God and He will give you the desire of your heart, if you love Him as He loves you.

GOOD TIDINGS
My dear beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ, follow this advice and you can improve your life. Always remember that you are loved, even when it doesn't seem like it. Believe in yourself and your values. Don't sell out when things go wrong. Don't let anything get you down; always bounce back up. Set goals for your future and never settle for anything less. Realize that there are others in the world with much bigger problems than you. Appreciate the good things in your life, and be thankful for the time you have with your loved ones. Spend more time with your family and friends. Appreciate the simple things in life, and don't get caught up in material things. If you follow that advice you can't go wrong!
So the next time you're looking at a situation in your life...
Simply ask yourself, “Is the cup half empty? Or is the cup half full?” Be an optimist and see the cup as being half full. Better yet, as a child of God not only is your cup half full, it’s more than full, it Runneth over. Trust me before long, your attitude will rub off on others. You can make the world a better place by simply making yourself a happier person. So soldiers of the living God go out there and let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours. And if you don’t have one…the Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; I, Andres, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an elder, hereby give you one of my smiles to get you started.
To all the beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yours because of Calvary,
In service of the King,
Elder J.A. Vazquez

I SHALL
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, in the book of Philippians chapter four verse thirteen the Bible states "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." And because of this fact...
I am capable. I am worthwhile.I am beautiful. I am lovable.I shall accept both my strengthsand my weaknesses for they are me.
I shall never again believe the "lie"that if I make a mistake,I am a mistake. My mistakes are the learning toolsthat I shall encounter on my life journey.
When I learn from my mistakes,I give them meaningWhen I give my mistakes meaning,I can begin to forgive myself,I can begin to heal.
I shall not use my mistakes as excusesto give up on me.....My mistakes are not me.
I shall seek the wisdom to nurturemy heart, mind, body, and soulso that I may feel more centered
providing an energy reserve that allowsme to climb the mountains in my own life
providing an energy reserve that allowsme to love and support otherswho are climbing a different mountain
providing an energy reserve that allowstime for friends, playand the celebration of life.
I shall allow myself to feel capable
so that I may seek excellence.
I shall allow myself to feel sadness
so that joy may return.
I shall allow myself to feel joy
so that I may be revitalized.
I shall allow myself to feel afraid
so that I may find courage.
I shall allow myself to feel alone
so that I may know me.
I shall allow myself to feel beautiful
so that I may feel free.
I shall allow myself to feel lovable
so that the loving may seek me.
I shall allow myself to feel pain
so that I may heal.
I shall allow myself to feel worthy
so that I may fulfill my purpose.
When I am centered,I see the perfection in the world, myself and others.
When I find the world to be imperfect,I will take responsibilityfor painting it that way.
I will look into the heart of a rose,or the eyes of a newborn babyand again know perfection.
I take responsibilityfor creating my own life storythrough the choices I have made;to blame others is to give awaymy personal power.
Who will I allow to writethe next chapter of my life?
I shall seek the courage to believein a God or Higher Powerwho will laugh with me in the sunlightor cry with me in the darkness.
I shall make a small difference on this planetthrough the work I do.When I leave I will have done my share.
I shall live, love, laugh, and learn on my journey.
My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, in the same book and chapter of Philippians but this time verse six the Bible states "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God", therefore we shall.

To My Precious Son
Because I knew even before I created the earth that you would accept My love for you, and that you would seek to know Me thus…
In the beginning I created the heavens and the earth. Then at the right time and in the right place I created you. I created your inner most being, I created every part of you, I knit you together in your mother's womb. You were carefully and wonderfully made; my works are wonderful, and you Andres are my work. My eyes saw your unformed body. All the days planned for you were written in my book before one of them came to be. How precious are my thoughts for you, How great is the number of them! If you were to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.
Listen to me, Andres; I created you and have cared for you since before you were born. I will be your God throughout your lifetime, until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you. I will carry you in my arms, holding you close to my heart. For I know the plans that I have for you plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Andres there are some times of suffering in your life. But the temporary suffering of this life does not compare to the glory that shall be revealed in you. Know this that I am with you and I will help you. Your help comes from me, I am the God who created the heavens and the earth, and the one who created you. I will never leave you, I will never reject you. When your parents fail you I will pick you up, hold you close, and adopt you. Nothing can ever separate you from my love for you. When you are in trouble and distress my love is with you. When you are persecuted my love is with you. When you are hungry and cold and naked my love is with you, I am always with you. When you are in danger and threatened with death my love is with you, I will be with you forever.
Andres know that nothing can separate you from my love, no matter how high you go, no matter how deep you sink, nothing in life and not even death can separate you from Me, and My love for you. No demon or any other power in hell can separate you from my love. My love for you is revealed through Christ Jesus your Lord. In all things and every situation you will have victory, you will conquer, because the victory of Christ Jesus is your victory.
But now, Andres, I the LORD, who created you and formed you, says: Do not be afraid, for I have purchased you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, they will not over flow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. I command you to be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid; do not be dismayed, for I, the LORD your God will be with you everywhere you go.
Andres, know that everything will work together for your good, because you love me. You have been called according to my purpose. For I knew you before you were born and I predestined you to be conformed to the likeness of my Son, Jesus Christ. This is your destiny, and this is your purpose, that you become one with my Son Jesus, and thus one with me. I created you in my image so that you and I can express love to each other. The most intimate relationship you can have is with me because you and I are becoming one. You and your brothers and sisters that believe in me are becoming one with Jesus, and thus one with me. You in me, and me in you, together, unified by my love for you. You were designed for this purpose, nothing else will ever satisfy your deepest needs, your deepest desires, only I can. Because you seek to know me I satisfy your heart with love, joy, and peace that only I can give you.
Andres if you should forget me, and enter into sin, and not turn back to Me on your own then I will punish you. Because your sin will separate you from feeling My presence, and My influence, and I want you to return to your first love, the One who loves you. I the Lord discipline those I love, and I punish everyone who I accept as my child. Just as a good Father disciplines His children to turn them away from a dangerous path, so I shall discipline you for your good, that you may share in My holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Andres, When you confess your sins, I am faithful and just and will forgive you of your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. In repentance and resting in Me is your salvation, in quietness and trusting Me is your strength. I will create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you. I will not send you away from My presence, and I will not take My Holy Spirit from you. I will restore again the joy of your salvation, and make you willing to obey Me. Then you will teach My ways to sinners, and they will return to Me also. Humble yourself, therefore, under My mighty hand, that I may lift you up at the right time.
Andres do not forget all my benefits, I forgive all your sins and heal all your diseases, I rescue your life from the pit of destruction and crown you with love and compassion. I satisfy your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles. I The LORD work righteousness and justice for all the oppressed; I The LORD am compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. I will not always accuse, nor will I harbor my anger forever; I do not treat you as your sins deserve or repay you according to your iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is My love for you because you fear Me; as far as the east is from the west, so far have I removed your transgressions from you.
Andres, call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Always pray to Me about your every concern, pray from your mouth and pray from your heart, I hear every thought that you think. Everything that you care about, I care about also because it concerns you. Cast all your cares and anxiety on Me because I love you. Trust in Me, the LORD YOUR GOD, with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding; In everything acknowledge Me, And I will direct your paths. Do not worry about anything, but in everything big or small, by prayer, with thanksgiving, present your requests to Me, the Most High God. And I will give you My peace in your heart, peace that is beyond all human understanding, and it will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. Always be joyful. Keep on praying always. No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is My will for you because you belong to Me.
Andres, Study My Book of law and truth, the Holy Bible, do not let My words depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. My words are Spirit and they are Life. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you will, and it will be given you. For the word of God is living and powerful. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. The most important thing you will ever own is your Bible because it gives you knowledge of Me, The Most High God. It makes the poor rich, it gives hope to the hopeless, faith to the fearful, food to the hungry, water to the thirsty, love to the despised, comfort to the lonely, freedom to the prisoner, health to the sick, light in the darkness, and life to the dying.
Andres I have set up circumstances and situations in your life to cause you to seek Me and find Me. I desire that you know Me. I am The Lord your God, full of compassion, and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But Andres glory in this, That you understand and know Me, That I am the LORD, exercising compassion, lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight and take pleasure.
All things are created for My pleasure and My pleasure is to show forth loving compassion. I have compassion on the poor and needy, and I am a Father to the fatherless, I help them, and I defend them. Far below Me are the heavens and the earth, I stoop to look down, and I lift the poor from the dirt and the needy from the garbage dump and I set them among princes. Andres I want you to do these things also, have compassion on the poor and needy and help them, this is what it means to know Me. For I am Love, and when you live in love, you live in Me, and I live in you. Loving compassion is good, and this is what I require from you, to do what is right, to love compassion, and to walk humbly with your God.
As a father has compassion on his children, so I your LORD have compassion on you because you fear Me; for I know how you were formed, I remember that you are dust. Forever and ever My love is with you because you fear Me, and My righteousness with your children's children; with those who keep My covenant and remember to obey My laws. My law is to love. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments all of My laws are based. When you walk in love you are obeying all My laws. When you walk in Love you are walking in My Holy Spirit for I AM LOVE!
Andres come and live in My shelter, in the protection of the Most High God, you will find rest in the presence of the Almighty. You will say, "This I declare of the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I am trusting him." Andres I will rescue you from every trap and protect you from the fatal plague. I will shield you with My wings. I will shelter you with My feathers. My faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor fear the dangers of the day, nor dread the plague that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. But you will see it with your eyes; you will see how the wicked are punished.
Because you Andres make the LORD your refuge, because you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your dwelling. For I order My angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you with their hands to keep you from striking your foot on a stone. You will trample down lions and poisonous snakes; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!
Andres, My servant, and My friend, whom I have chosen, I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will hold you up with my righteous right hand. All who come against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, for I myself will help you declares the LORD, your Redeemer. You will rejoice in the LORD and glory in the Holy One of Israel.
Andres, when you asked Me to forgive your sins and come into your heart I sent My Holy Spirit into you to comfort you, to give you power, and as proof to you that I have adopted you as My child. The Holy Spirit shall lead you into all truth because He shall testify of Jesus, and He will give you power to testify of Jesus. I will speak to you through My Holy Spirit that is in you, He will tell you what is right and wrong, what is love and hate. My Holy Spirit is a gentle whisper inside your heart telling you the path to walk in. If you walk in My Spirit you will walk in love, you will not sin. And you will see great and mighty things happen before you, they will not be accomplished by strength, nor by outside force, but by My Spirit says the LORD ALMIGHTY. Through My Holy Spirit I shall give you supernatural gifts that you may be blessed, and that you shall bless others through demonstrating My love for them. My Holy Spirit will be with you through out your whole life, and after I will receive you into My glory.
I your LORD say to you I will rescue you because you love me. I will protect you because you trust in my name. When you call on me, I will answer; I will be with you in trouble. I will rescue you and honor you. I will satisfy you with a long life and give you my salvation. Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. It is your destiny.
Thus Says THE LORD Your GOD !
Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. But you will see it with your eyes; you will see how the wicked are punished.

A LOVE STORY
One day, I woke early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Ah the beauty of God's creation is beyond description. As I watched, I praised God for His beautiful work. As I sat their, I felt the Lord's presence with Me.
He asked me, "Do you love me?"
I answered, "Of course, God! You are my Lord and Savior!"
Then He Asked, "If you were physically handicapped, would you still love me?"
I was perplexed. I looked down upon my arms, legs and the rest of my body and wondered how many things I wouldn't be able to do, the things I took for granted. And I answered, "It would be tough Lord, but I would still love you."
The Lord asked, "If you were blind, would you still love my creation?"
How could I love something without being able to see it? Then I thought of all the blind people in the world and how many of them still loved God and His creation.
So I Answered, "It would be tough, but I would still listen to Your word."
The Lord then asked, "If you were mute, would you still praise My name?"
How could I praise without a voice? Then it occurred to me: God wants us to sing from our very heart and soul. It never matters what we sound like. And praising God is not always with a song, but when we are persecuted, we gave God praise with our words of thanks.
So I Answered, "Though I could not physically sing, I would still praise Your name."
And the Lord asked, "Do you really love Me?"
With courage and a strong conviction, I answered boldly, "Yes Lord! I love You because You are the one true God!"
I thought I had answered well, but God asked, "Then Why Do You Sin?"
I answered, "Because I am only human, I am not perfect."
"Then why in times of peace do you stray the furthest?
Why only in times of trouble do you pray earnestly?"
No answers. Only tears.
The Lord continued:
"Why only sing at fellowships and retreats?
Why seek Me in times of worship?
Why ask things so selfishly?
Why ask things so unfaithfully?"
The tears continued to roll down my cheeks.
"Why are you ashamed of Me?
Why are you not spreading good news?
Why in times of persecution, do you cry to others when I offer My shoulder to cry on?
Why make excuses when I give you opportunities to serve in My name?"
I tried to answer, but there was no answer to give.
"You are blessed with life.
I made you not to throw this gift away.
I have blessed you with talents to serve Me, but you continue to turn away.
I have revealed My Word to you, but you do not gain knowledge.
I have spoken to you but your ears were closed.
I have shown My blessings to you, but your eyes were turned away.
I have sent your servants, but you sat idly by as they were pushed away.
I have heard your prayers and I have answered them all."
"DO YOU TRULY LOVE ME ?"
I could not answer.
How could I?
I was embarrassed beyond belief.
I had no excuse.
What could I say to this?
When my heart had cried out and the tears has flowed,
I said, "Please Lord forgive me Lord.
I am unworthy to be Your child."
The Lord answered,
"That is My Grace, My child."
I asked,
"Then why do You continue to forgive me?
Why do You love me so?"
The Lord answered,
"Because you are my creation.
You are my child.
I will never abandon you.
When you cry, I will have compassion and cry with you.
When you shout with joy, I will laugh with you.
When you are down, I will encourage you.
When you fall, I will raise you up.
When you are tired, I will carry you.
I will be with you till the end of days, and I will Love You Forever.
" Never had I cried so hard before.
How could I have been so cold?
How could I have hurt God as I had done?
I asked God, "How much do You love me?"
The Lord stretched out His arms, and I saw His nail-pierced hands.
I bowed down at the feet of Christ, my Savior.
And for the first time...
I truly prayed.
He asked me, "Do you love me?"
I answered, "Of course, God! You are my Lord and Savior!"

Playmate vs. Soul-mate
Brothers and Sisters in Christ, in our quest for happiness we must be sure that we don't settle for a Playmate when God has a Soul mate waiting for us. Sometimes this is a hard distinction to make. Playmates are tricky. They are so much fun to be with that even the smartest of us will be fooled into thinking this has to be our Soul mate. Worse yet too many of us attempt to make a Soul mate out of a Playmate.
The danger of this is that later, after years of playing we will meet our Soul mate, but it may be too late then. We may have already made a Life mate of our Playmate and created life-long bonds (emotional bonds, children, etc.). Or we may have been hurt from playing so hard that we are in no shape ourselves to be anyone's anything. How can we distinguish between the One, and just another one?
First, we must be open with ourselves about who we really are and what our soul yearns for. Only you and the God know what is truly in your heart and mind. Only you know what will make you truly happy and whole. In order to find your Soul mate you have to know you, first. You must be willing to listen to that inner voice. And is that voice telling you that that nerdy person you enjoy talking and sharing your thoughts with, could be he? What about that friend who is always willing to go the extra mile for you when no one else will.
Oh no, he's too short or too tall, balding or too hairy, and on and on? Just too ordinary looking for me!! Then there's that girl who makes you feel so special when you're around her, but she doesn't match that ideal you have conjured in your head. She's not tall enough, not slender enough, not light or dark enough, not shapely enough, not attractive enough, and on and on? She just couldn't do for me!! So what if he or she doesn't look like Denzel Washington or Janet Jackson! He or she is going to treat you like the jewel that you are.
Not only that, his or her soul and yours will commune in ways you never imagined possible! In order to heed that voice, we have to put on the back burner our own superficial thinking. Could it be that your inner desire is for a truly genuine person with a good heart? If you enjoy playing, stay on the playground.
There are plenty of Playmates out there to occupy your time. But don't spend too much time playing or you may play your life away. Eventually the playing loses its appeal and your soul begins to crave a deeper, more meaningful connection. Your soul begins to crave your Soul mate.
God bless you.

"Putting on the Whole Armour of God"
Lord, I put on the HELMET OF SALVATION, to protect and keep my mind from evil thoughts. Help me to keep my mind stay on You throughout the day, with pure thoughts. Help me to be honest and true, and not resort to deception or lying for fear of losing a friend. But let me place total trust in You, my Real Friend, letting my yes be yes, and my no be no without vengeance. Let the words I speak be said with love, and edifying to those I meet today, and may the Holy Spirit use those words to speak to their needs. Bring back to my remembrance Your own Words that they may feed my spirit, cleanse my soul, and restore my body, giving me the Bread of Life that You have promised me, Your child.
I put on the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, reminding myself that I am no longer condemned because I am not Christ Jesus, walking after the spirit and not after the flesh. I am redeemed, holy, sanctified, justified, free, blameless, and a joint-heir in your kingdom. I am a child of light and not of darkness, no longer tossed to and fro., Therefore, I do no allow the ugly opinion and opinions and prejudices of others to overrule what You say about me, and who I am. You are the Greater One living in me, rather than the one who is in the world. So I place my fear in You who made me rather than those who can destroy only my body, but not my soul. I will think of myself as victorious in all situations, because you have given me the victory through Christ Jesus, and have sent an angel to protect me from the one who wants to steal my joy. I will continue to praise You, believing that all things are indeed working together for good on my behalf, for I know that I am called according to Your purpose, and I love You and put You first in my life.
I GIRT MY LOINS WITH TRUTH, knowing Lord, that You are the Way, the Truth and the Life. You are my Refuge and my Strength, the Very Present Help in the midst of trouble. Help me to place all trust in You, and resist the temptation to doubt. Your Words are true, and not based on my belief or unbelief. I ask for Your knowledge and Your wisdom throughout this day, so that my own mind will be in agreement with Yours, and my words will be the same as Your Words. And I know I will reap some of the benefits You have in store for me. I ask for the discernment to be able to separate Your Truth from the lie of Satan, so that I do not allow him to gain the advantage over me. Help me to recognize him today, no matter how he comes disguised. Help me to resist giving in to my own lust of the flesh, and keep control over what I say and do. I ask Your forgiveness for all of my sins, cleanse me from all unrighteousness, and I give thanks for my salvation and the new name You have given me that is written down in the Book of Life.
I put on the SHOES WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE, seeking peace at all times. Help me to avoid strife, and not get caught up in foolish conversations, backbiting, and the cares of this world. Help me to be quick to listen, slow to anger, quick to forgive, and slow to speak. Help me to admonish with love, putting myself in the other person's place, remembering that I myself had gone through the pain and the effects of sin, and it was You who came and got me out of that bondage. And now You are asking me to be merciful and compassionate toward others, the same as You were to me. Help me to be patient and kind to those who do not understand spiritual things, and not get upset if my Christian brothers and sisters do not understand my own spiritual walk. I will stand firm on Your Word, and not my feelings, believing that You do love me, will comfort me, and will answer me when I call on Your Name, even though our answer may not come in the way I expect. I accept Your Will for my life for I know You know what is best for me, and I do thank You for it.
I take the SHIELD OF FAITH to quench all the fiery darts aimed at me by the wicked one and all of his workers of iniquity. I resent all evil that comes at me to try to discourage me from doing all that You have commanded me to do. I will not dwell on the things that I see my natural eye, and settle for anything less than the spiritual abundant life that You have promised me. I will continue to search for the spiritual and eternal riches of the glory of my inheritance, believing that You are supplying all of my needs, and I do not have to worry about tomorrow. I will remind myself that You did not give me a spirit of fear, so I will sharpen my awareness of any feelings of fear, and use that as a signal to turn to You for help, believing that You will come to my rescue. I will remind myself that Jesus is the Author and Finisher of y faith, therefore, I will treat all problems as an opportunity to put my faith to work, and learn more about You.
I will use the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT as my spiritual weapon to bind up Satan "In the Name of Jesus", for You said in Your Word that "whatsoever I bind on earth it shall be bound in Heaven," and I will believe and use this power You have given me to remain in control and not give in to the fear of death. I am Your child now and I do not have to obey his voice. I am in this world, but I do not have to be a part of it, caught up in the pride of life. You have clarified for me that even though trouble exists in this world, I am not distressed; I ma be puzzled and perplexed, but I am not in despair; I may be persecuted by many, but You have not forsakened me; and at times I may be cast down, but I am not destroyed, because I have everlasting life. Therefore, I stand on Your Word using the words You have given me, by shaking the dust off of my6 feet against all evil and opposition, and overcoming evil with good. I stand firm believingthat Your Words are spirit and they are life for me, and have a keeping power that no man can destroy.
I give you praise, for You are my God,… the Rock of my Salvation,… and the Keep of my Soul.
Thanks be to God!!!

My Special Letter to Students
Anti-apartheid leader Steven Biko said, "Nothing in this universe is attained by doing nothing."
Today is your graduation day thus you have taken another step toward marking your future.
Adults often call you "the leaders of tomorrow." I cannot agree with these words because you can make a difference RIGHT NOW; you can be a leader RIGHT NOW; you can make great contributions to your community RIGHT NOW.
No doubt, life will present difficult challenges from time to time, and you might feel tempted to take a wrong road. With this in mind, I offer you these ALTERNATIVES FOR LIFE:
If you have to lie…
Lie down so you can look up at a sky filled with possibilities
If you have to cheat…
Cheat death by not going to the places where he's sure to hang out.
If you have to steal…
Steal an education. The smart person is the one who does not stop learning
just because school is closed.
If you must overdose…
Overdose on books and go get your "fix" at the library!
If you must take a life…
Take a life out of the gutter and help them become whole again.
If you must gamble…
Gamble on God, the only sure and consistent thing in this life.
Remember, "Your life is God's gift to you. What you do with it is your gift to God!"1 YOU are a vital part of your family, your community and your country. Positive changes only come from people with a vision to make it happen. Be a person of vision, and a person with a positive purpose.

Dear Mr. Crack (a plea from a child)
Dear Mr. Crack,
Please give my mommy and daddy back.
I’m not suppose to talk to strangers,
but when they are with you, I know
they’re in danger. Since you’ve
come around, they’re never
home. And I really don't
like when I'm
home alone.
We don’t live in our nice, big house anymore.
And this place is cold. There’s no rug on the
floor. Sometimes, I don’t get enough to
eat. Daddy’s eyes look funny.
Mommy hardly sleep.
I got new clothes for
Christmas, but Daddy went
and sold them. I saved $5.00 in my
piggy bank but one night, it got stolen.
We don’t even visit my
Grandmom no more.
Since my bike
disappeared,
she won’t
come to
the door.
Give my Mommy and Daddy back,
Mr. Crack! Never mind.
I know what to do.
I’m gonna
tell God.
God can
get rid
of you!

Excellence can be attained...
If you Care more than others think is wise ...
If you Risk more than others think is safe ...
If you Dream more than others think is practical ..
If you Expect more than others think is possible.

Watch and Listen Carefully
The man whispered, "God, speak to me" and a meadowlark sang.
But, the man did not hear.
So the man yelled "God, speak to me" and the thunder rolled across the sky.
But, the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said "God let me see you", and a star shined brightly.
But the man did not notice.
And, the man shouted,"God show me a miracle", and a life was born.
But, the man did not know.
So, the man cried out in despair, "Touch me God, and let me know you are here"Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man.
But, the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.
Don't miss out on a blessing because it isn't packaged the way that you expect.
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.Matthew 26:41

I am thankful...
For the wife who says it's hot dogs tonight, because she is home with me, and not out with someone else.
The child who is not cleaning his room, but is watching TV, because that means he is at home and not on the streets.
For the taxes that I pay, because it means that I am employed.
For the mess to clean after a party, because it means that I have been surrounded by friends.
For the clothes that fit a little too snug, because it means I have enough to eat.
For my shadow that watches me work, because it means I am in the sunshine.
For a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing, because it means I have a home.
For all the complaints I hear about the government, because it means that we have freedom of speech.
For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot, because it means I am capable of walking and that I have been blessed with transportation.
For my huge heating/cooling bill, because it means I am warm/refreshed.
For the lady behind me in church who sings off key, because it means that I can hear.
For the pile of laundry and ironing, because it means I have clothes to wear.
For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day, because it means I have been capable of working hard.
For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours, because it means I am alive…and finally.......
For too much e-mail, because it means I have friends who are thinking of me.

TEN THINGS GOD WON'T ASK ON THAT DAY
1. God won't ask what kind of car you drove.
He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.
2. God won't ask the square footage of your house,
He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.
3. God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet,
He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.
4. God won't ask what your highest salary was.
He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.
5. God won't ask what your job title was.
He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.
6. God won't ask how many friends you had.
He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.
7. God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived,
He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.
8. God won't ask about the color of your skin,
He'll ask about the content of your character.
9. God won't ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation.
He'll lovingly take you to your mansion in heaven, and not to the gates of Hell.
10. God won't have to ask how many people you forwarded this to,
He already knows your decision.
He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.

SOW
Matthew 13:3..., Behold, a sower went forth to sow.
SOW LOVE, where theres hatred.
SOW PARDON, where theres injury.
SOW FAITH, where theres doubt.
SOW HOPE, where theres despair.
SOW LIGHT, where there is darkness
SOW JOY, where there is sadness.
Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Let us pray that God teach us how to sow in the lives of others.

The ABC's of Salvation
A - All have sinned.
B - Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.
C - Come to Christ for peace, pardon, and eternal life.
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:8-10
Brothers and Sisters in Christ, knowing is not enough;
We must Apply.
Willing is not enough;
We must Do.

No Greater Love
Everyone longs to give themselves completely to someone. To have a deep soul relationship with another, to be loved thoroughly and exclusively. But to a Christian, God says no. Not until you're satisfied and fulfilled and content, unreservedly to me alone. I do love you my child, and until you discover that only in Me is your satisfaction to be found, you will not be capable of the perfect human relationship that I have planned for you. You will never be united with another until you are united with Me, exclusive of any other desires or longings.
I want you to stop planning, stop wishing, and allow Me to bring it to you. You just keep watching Me, expecting the greatest things. Keep experiencing the satisfaction of knowing that I am. Keep learning and listening to the things I tell you.
You must wait.
Don't be anxious.
Don't worry.
Don't look around at the things that others have gotten or that I've given them.
Don't look around at the things that you think you want.
Just keep looking off and away up to Me, or you'll miss what I want to show you.
And when you're ready, I'll surprise you with a love far more wonderful than any would ever dream of. You see, until you are ready and until the one I have for you is ready, until you are both satisfied exclusively with Me and the life I have planned for you, you won't be able to experience the love that exemplifies your relationship with Me, and is thus perfect love. I am working even this minute, to have both of you ready at the same time. And dear child, I want you to have the most wonderful love. I want you to see in the flesh a picture of your own relationship with Me, and to enjoy materially and concretely the everlasting union of beauty and perfection that I offer you with Myself.
KNOW THAT I LOVE YOU.
I AM ALMIGHTY GOD.
BELIEVE AND BE SATISFIED.
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. -Psalm 37:4

COULD BE WORSE
Should you find it hard to get to sleep tonight,
just remember the homeless family who has no bed to lie in.
Should you have a bad day at work,
think of the man who has been out of work for the last three months.
Should you despair over a relationship gone bad,
think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.
Should you grieve the passing of another weekend,
think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week, for $15 a day, just to feed her family.
Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance,
think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.
Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror,
think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.
Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities, remember,
things could be worse -- you could be them.
just remember the homeless family who has no bed to lie in.

" The Right Idea "
I asked GOD to take away my pain,
GOD said,-NO-, it is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.
I asked GOD to make my handicapped child whole,
GOD said,-NO-, her spirit is whole and her body is only temporary.
I asked GOD to grant me patience,
GOD said,-NO-, Patience is a by-product of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is earned.
I asked GOD to give me happiness,
GOD said,-NO-, I give you blessings, Happiness is up to you.
I asked GOD to spare me pain,
GOD said,-NO-, Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.
I asked GOD to make my spirit grow,
GOD said,-NO-, you must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life,
GOD said,-No-, I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.
I ask GOD to help me LOVE others, as much as He Loves Me and then GOD Said ... Ahhhh, Finally You Have The Right Idea...

The 23rd Psalm (a closer look) Part One
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
(God is my father. He takes care of all my needs.)
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.
(God brings peace and harmony into my life)
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
(God makes me feel strong when I'm weak and guides me to do good things in His name)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff comfort me.
(I will not be afraid, because God is with me. His strength and protection comfort me.)
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
(God is there for me when I'm surrounded by enemies)
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
(God comforts me and fills my heart with overflowing love)
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
(God will love me and forgive my sins throughout my life)
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
(I will live in God's love forever)

Letter From God To Women
When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being. When I created man, I formed him and breathed life into his nostrils. But you woman, I fashioned after I breathed the breath of life into man because your nostrils are too delicate. I allowed a deep sleep to come over him so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you.
Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with the creativity. From one bone I fashioned you. I chose the bone that protects his heart and his lungs and supports him, as you are meant to do. Around this one bone I shaped you. I modeled you. I created you perfectly and beautifully.
Your characteristics are as the rib, strong yet delicate and fragile. You provide protection for the most delicate organ in man, his heart. His heart is the center of his being; his lungs hold the breath of life. The rib cage will allow itself to be broken before it will allow damage to the heart.
Support the man as the rib cage supports the body. You were not taken from his feet, to be under him, nor were you taken from his head, to be above him. You were taken from his side, to stand beside him and be held close to his side.
You are My perfect angel. You are My beautiful little girl. You have grown to be a splendid woman of excellence, and My eyes fill when I see the virtues in your heart. Your eyes - don't change them. Your lips - how lovely when they part in prayer. Your nose, so perfect in form, your hands so gentle in touch. I've caressed your face in your deepest sleep; I've held your heart close to mine.
Of all that lives and breathes, you are the most like Me. Adam walked with Me in the cool of the day and yet he was lonely. He could not see Me or touch Me. He could only feel Me.
So everything I wanted Adam to share and experience with Me,I fashioned in you: My holiness, My strength, My purity, My love, My protection and support. You are special because you are the extension of Me.
Man represents My image, woman My emotions. Together you represent the totality of God. So man - treat woman well. Love her, respect her, for she is fragile. In hurting her, you hurt Me. What you do to her, you do to Me. In crushing her, you only damage your own heart, the heart of your Father, and the heart of her Father.
Woman, support man. In humility, show him the power of emotion I have given you. In gentle quietness show your strength. In love, show him that you are the rib that protects his inner self.

Three Things in Life
Three things in life that, once gone, never come back -
Time, Words & Opportunity
Three things in life that may never be lost -
Peace, Hope & Honesty.
Three things in life that are most valuable -
Love, Faith & Prayer
Three things in life that are never certain -
Dreams, Success & Fortune
Three things that make a man -
Hard work, Sincerity & Commitment
Three things in life that can destroy a man -
Lust, Pride & Anger
Three things that are truly constant -
Father, Son and Holy Ghost
I ask the Lord to bless you, as I pray for you today;
to guide you and protect you, as you go along your way.
His love is always with you, His promises are true.
And when you give Him all your cares, you know He'll see you through.
God bless you all

TO MY SISTERS
My dear sisters in Christ, there comes a time in every woman's life when she has to take a close look at herself.
Not at her circumstance,
Not at what she did,
Not how unfair life is,
Not at who made you do it.
She has to just look at herself in all her glory and imperfection.
Have you ever admired a woman who has been through changes in her life? Or have you made up in your mind that she is just messed up. Before you make this mistake, take a closer look.
A woman who has endured the most unusual life is someone of wisdom, someone who has been chosen by God to go through things that have made her stronger.
Think of all the great women in the Bible: Mary Magdalene, Ruth and Naomi, the woman with an issue of blood flow, and Esther, to name a few. Mary was a prostitute, a very uneasy woman. But by the time Jesus was done with her, she was His closest follower.
Esther was unfortunate in marrying an abusive man, but by the time God was done with her, she had married one of the wealthiest men in the land. Women are so quick to beat the next one down instead of trying to hold her up.
Before you wonder, "What's up with her?"
ask yourself, "What's up with me?"
That woman could be your mother, sister, aunt, in-law, stepmother, niece, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor, friend, or co-worker, etc.
That woman could be you.
Women are the carriers of life, not the channels of death. My dear sisters, build and encourage each other, as did Ruth and Naomi. Encourage and Love, Forgive and Forget, and trust. I pray that the men and woman who read and receives this in their hearts will be touched in some way.
May peace and love be upon you all.

LET IT GO
There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you this.
When people can walk away from you, let them walk.
I don't want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone.
When people can walk away from you let them walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left. The bible said that, "they came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. " [1 John 2:19]
People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not joined to you, you can't make them stay. Let them go. And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person it just means that their part in the story is over.
And you've got to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead. You've got to know when it's dead.
You've got to know when it's over. Let me tell you something. I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye. It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He'll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it.
Stop begging people to stay...
LET THEM GO!!!
If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life,
then you need to...
LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to past hurts and pains...
LET IT GO!!!
If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth...
LET IT GO!!!
If someone has angered you...
LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge...
LET IT GO!!!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction...
LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents...
LET IT GO!!!
If you have a bad attitude...
LET IT GO!!!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better...
LET IT GO!!!
If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him...
LET IT GO!!!
If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship...
LET IT GO!!!
If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help themselves...
LET IT GO!!!
If you're feeling depressed and stressed ...
LET IT GO!!!
If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying,
"Take your hands off of it," then you need to...
LET IT GO!!!
Let the past be the past.
Forget the former things.
GOD is doing a new thing for 2005 as we approach 2006 !!!
LET IT GO!!!
Get Right or Get Left...think about it, and then LET IT GO!!!
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.
Happy moments, praise God. Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God. Every moment, thank God.
LET IT GO

About Me
- Elder Vazquez
- I'm just a nobody, trying to tell everybody about Somebody who can save anybody. I give all honor to the Father for the privilege of being His instrument, through whom He lives and works for His glory alone. I served in the U.S. Navy for 21 years, retiring in September 2003. In my final three years, I was co-pastor at Greater New Refuge COGIC in Fallon, Nevada, under Pastor Gregory L. Brown. I supported my pastor and church by helping with a new sanctuary's construction and caring for all ministry needs while staying true to my mandate to preach the Word of God without compromise. In November 2002, I was licensed to preach and ordained in June 2003. While stationed in Virginia Beach, I served at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for 17 years under Bishop-Elect W.D. Scott, Sr., and now I serve at Calvary Revival Church in Norfolk, VA, under Bishop B. Courtney McBath. I also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion from Saint Leo University, deepening my foundation and commitment to this path of faith.
MY THEOLOGICAL TRAINING:
It brings to my face a unadulterated smile each and every occasion I am asked, “Elder Dre, What Theological Training do you have?”
My heart beams with joy at the opportunity to humbly give full glory to God as I reflect on on how the prophets, patriarchs and apostles of old would have respond: Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joshua, Gideon, King David, Elijah, Elisha, Jeremiah, John the Baptist, Matthew, Mark, Peter, James, John and the other disciples, not forgetting the Saviour Himself.
How would they have answered the question: “What theological training do you have?”
The words of the prophet Amos also came to mind: “Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:” Amos 7:14
I surely am not impliedly decrying theological preparation, education or training: I consider it essential, but not as much as some think. For the fact is, the Almighty raises up believers according to His own standards.
Educational qualifications, wealth, fame, talent, social standing, outward appearance etc. are useful; but they are secondary in His sight. Qualities like faith, obedience, holiness, humility, honesty, absolute loyalty to one’s spouse, the ability to raise one’s family to fear God and keep His commandments etc.; these are the things the Most High values.
“Man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”
Only on the Day of Judgment will it be known how truly educated, weighty and effective I have been. That is why I have to smile when the question arise.
The vanity of the question is only matched by the foolishness of my answer.
As the wise man wrote: “Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher; all is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 1: 2 or as the apostle Paul commented in 2 Corinthians 11:16-30 when rattling off a long list of impressive qualifications “... I speak as a fool.”

Furthermore, we have seen with our own eyes and now testify that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. All who proclaim that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. 1 John 4:14-15 (NLT)
I am a preacher, but most of all, I proclaim that Jesus is the Savior with various applications of that truth in my everyday life. My dear friend, if you are a Christian, you are a preacher also. Whether you have been ordained or not, hired by a church or not, or ever been recognized as a preacher or not is beside the point. All who have God living in them are called to proclaim the Savior to the world. It is a Holy calling, and a demanding one. It will pull you out of your comfort zone, challenge your commitment, and help to develop you into the person God has created you to be.
John spoke as an eyewitness to Jesus' saving power. We speak as heart-witnesses; ones who have not seen Jesus with our eyes, but have experienced Him through personal transformation. I speak, and you speak, as a representative of Christ on earth. The message that we bring is simple, yet profound; that God the Father sent God the Son into the world to save those who are lost to bring them into relationship with Him. As you tell the story, and I tell the story, some will listen and receive the grace that God has sent us into the world to proclaim.
PRAYER THOUGHT: Father, what a privilege to be a spokesperson for You.
